The television is connected to a DVD player, both American and French satellite services, plus a customized Video-on-Demand system that offers thousands of movie titles to choose from whenever you want. But if you’re in the mood for a big-screen blockbuster, step into the adjacent movie theater and settle into one of the seven plush reclining seats, tap the touch-screen controller and bring to life a screen that you measure not in inches but in meters. As the lights dim automatically and the Klipsch THX surround sound system completes the experience, you will know you’ve found the pinnacle of indulgent luxury on an island already known for creature comforts.

The prospect of such luxury might tempt you to stay inside and watch movies all day, but just outside you have the gorgeous Caribbean sunshine and a big, inviting infinity pool. The terrace of villa Jade runs the entire length of the main house, with deck chairs and comfortable sofas near the pool and a stunning vista of the placid waters of Marigot Bay and the Atlantic beyond. An outdoor dining area offers seating for fourteen and a large Weber Genesis grill. At the east end of the deck you will find a quiet alcove beside a calming garden of coconut palms, with a Jacuzzi, hammock, and a vast Indonesian day bed.

Among the many exceptional villas on the island, villa Jade also stands out for offering the comfort of seven bedrooms, making it ideal for large families or wedding events that bring extra guests. Three of the bedrooms are located down a hallway from the main living area, in what might be called a “family suite.” The expansive master bedroom continues the decorative theme of the main house, with exquisite woodwork and fine art. The two smaller bedrooms are decorated with pastel tones. The smaller rooms share a skylit bath with a pebble-stone tiled shower, while the master bathroom boasts dual stone vanities, a rain head shower, and a dressing room.

To the west of the main house are three separate bungalows, each with its own bedroom, bathroom, and private deck. Dual vanities are integrated into the bedroom areas, creating an open, loft-like feel, and each one has plentiful closet space and a sheltered, outdoor shower. Each bungalow features a unique design theme executed with masterful carpentry and special flourishes, including hidden flat screen televisions that rise automatically from the beds’ footboards.

To the east of the main house, down a few steps from the terrace, you find La Maison de Jade’s fully equipped gym, with seven Panatta Fit-Evo elliptical weight machines, a full range of free weights, a counterbalanced bench press, and a bike machine and treadmill. Adjoining the gym is a private yoga studio and a full bath complete with steam bath and a rain head shower.

Secluded a little further down the hillside is a fourth bungalow-in fact a second master bedroom suite-with an en suite bath, a large living area, wet bar, television and Sonos sound system, and a shaded deck with a view of Marigot Bay.

The 8th bedroom is suitable for staff.
