Striking geometry defines the style of Maison Blanc Bleu (MBB), a spacious haven high above Lurin—close to Gustavia but private, and with a terrific sun profile, colorful views at dusk, and shelter from the December tradewinds. But for all the angular architecture, there’s nothing stark about the luxury rental property, which was recently built from the ground up. Rather, the vibe is that of a soothing, soulful Caribbean retreat, helped along by the signature whites and blues of the villa’s name, a perfect embodiment of what makes the island of St. Barth so enticing.

Private, elegant, and understated, Maison Blanc Bleu (MBB) is a vacation home that is well designed for families and groups of friends to share, whether they’re gathering for an intimate celebration of an event or simply celebrating their good fortune in being together in such a beautiful place. The master bedroom, which has its own private terrace, is situated on its own level, above the main socializing spaces of the indoor-outdoor living room, which extends into a large, open kitchen with a breakfast bar and onto covered outdoor areas for dining and relaxing, which lead ultimately to the places you most want to be while in St. Barth—the sun and the water of the large swimming pool and nearby refreshing bubble pool.

The other five bedrooms are arrayed around the central gathering spaces on this level. They are well separated and private from one another. Most have king-size beds and direct access to the outdoors on the terrace, although one has two twin beds and is more suited to children or teenagers. Each has a private bathroom. A nanny room is also available.

Maison Blanc Bleu has its own private paddle tennis court, which is unique in St. Barth, as most villas that offer tennis do so by allowing access to a court that is shared by a residential community. Of course Sibarth’s concierge and arrange tennis lessons or practice partners—or any other athletic, adventurous or simply indulgent undertaking on the island you’d like to arrange. There is also a fitness room.
