The Pond, St. Jean

Island Life
06.03.2024

In the heart of St. Jean, just behind the beach, lies a quieter pocket known simply as “The Pond.” This shallow saltwater basin is now recognized for its biodiversity, framed by mangroves and overlooked by the surrounding hills.

A short walk from the St. Jean beach brings you to its edge. There are a few designated entrances and no facilities. Just open sky, birds overhead, and a steady breeze moving across the water. The path around the pond is well maintained and makes for an easy sunrise or sunset walk.

Getting there

For those looking past sand and surf, The Pond offers a change of pace between beaches and bays for a nice stroll.
